As a Waste Management and Recycling unit operative, you will support the establishment’s waste management needs. Your work includes collecting, processing, and disposing of materials appropriately. The rotational, non-operational role includes prisoner contact but no responsibility for supervising prisoners or work areas.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support collection, processing, and disposal of recyclables
- Contribute to restricted waste control measures
- Undertake confidential waste collection and shredding
- Maintain safe, clean, and tidy work areas
- Report health, safety, and security concerns

Requirements:

- Ability to follow legislative and environmental requirements
- Ability to comply with Local Security Strategy procedures
- Ability to comply with National Security Framework requirements
- Ability to complete relevant records and documentation
- Confident spoken English or Welsh communication ability
