The OpportunityPioneer Construction Inc. is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Construction Material Lab Technician in the Kenora, Ontario area. This role supports our construction operations through field sampling, laboratory testing, and quality assurance processes to ensure materials and projects meet required specifications, standards, and safety requirements.Your Day-to-DayOperate testing and sampling equipment with an understanding of secure handling and cleaning proceduresConduct routine inspections of construction and aggregate materialsPerform fields tests and laboratory tests to analyze the quality and performance of asphalt and aggregate samplesEnsure compliance with all facets of Quality Control/Quality Assurance including structures, foundations, asphalt, concrete, grading, granular and electricalParticipate in quality control plans and procedures for projectsWork collaboratively with other lab technicians, lab managers, surveyors, and other stakeholdersMaintain and analyze detailed records of test results, inspections, and quality control processesEnsuring timely delivery of all samples to the applicable laboratoriesMaintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipmentWork in various weather conditions including inclement weather conditionsWork evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required to meet operational and project demandsTravel to job sites across Northern Ontario, including occasional out-of-town assignments with overnight staysWork in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Perform other related duties as assignedYou Are a Good Fit If You HaveRequired:Relevant post-secondary degree in civil, mining,
