Develop cloud-native data platforms for Depop and eBay using Databricks, AWS, Airflow, and dbt to improve marketplace data reliability.

As a Data Engineer, you will build scalable infrastructure for real-time insights, analytics, and personalized experiences. Your work will span Databricks, AWS, Airflow, dbt, and automated data quality frameworks. You will collaborate with Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop scalable data platforms and services using Databricks and AWS
- Build and manage complex workflows with Apache Airflow
- Create reusable transformation patterns and high-quality datasets
- Implement automated data quality and validation frameworks
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend architectural improvements





Requirements:

- Three or more years building pipelines, distributed systems, or backend services
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent practical experience
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and multithreading
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
- Understanding of distributed architecture, databases, modeling, and NoSQL
