Northern Ontario nursing educators provide hands-on clinical training, competency validation, and coaching across regional long-term care homes.

This full time Extendicare position supports regulated and unregulated staff across an assigned portfolio. The hybrid schedule combines approximately 80% onsite education with administrative responsibilities, while regular travel connects multiple homes. You will help strengthen safe practice, staff confidence, and person-centred resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify practice gaps and regional education priorities
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and follow-up support
- Validate competencies through knowledge assessment and return demonstration
- Use virtual platforms and learning management systems
- Track participation,



feedback, completion, and education outcomes

Requirements:

- RN or RPN registration with the applicable provincial college
- Experience facilitating group education using adult learning principles
- Knowledge of long-term care and infection prevention standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple homes independently
