Security automation and transparent control communication anchor this GRC Analyst role at samdesk, supporting customers, partners, and internal teams. The position is based in Edmonton, Alberta, with remote consideration.

As a Security and Compliance Analyst, you will provide technical and administrative coverage across samdesk’s compliance obligations. Your work includes SOC 2 Type II operations, IT service desk requests, security reviews, and customer questionnaires. You will use programming, APIs, and LLM tools to automate routine workflows while supporting reporting and new compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle software and access requests through the IT service desk
- Evaluate tools against security standards before adoption
- Process customer data deletion requests and maintain records




- Prepare monthly SR&ED; and IRAP reporting
- Automate questionnaire and review work using Claude knowledge

Requirements:

- Comfort reading code, working with APIs, and automating tasks
- Strong written communication for technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent organization across deadlines and stakeholders
- Experience with Vanta or similar compliance automation platforms
- Experience using Claude or ChatGPT for workflow automation
