Bring geomatics expertise to McElhanney’s field operations, interpreting drawings and collecting survey data across Metro Vancouver construction projects.

This Survey Technologist supports the Construction and Technical Surveys team through independent and crew-based fieldwork. You will collaborate with Land Surveyors, Civil Engineers, and GIS professionals while using conventional equipment, GNSS, laser scanning, and Tracker. The position supports complex project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work independently or within a survey field crew
- Interpret survey, engineering, and architectural drawings
- Collect data using conventional and GNSS survey methods
- Assist with laser scanning, Tracker, and related technologies




- Support project coordination and survey deliverables

Requirements:

- 5+ years of construction survey experience
- Geomatics Engineering Technology diploma or related education
- Understanding of map projections, datums, and coordinate systems
- Solid communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively outdoors
