Support older adults with cognitive and physical changes as a Personal Support Worker at Baycrest Hospital’s Apotex 6 unit. This temporary part-time position includes day shifts and alternate weekends.

Apotex 6 is a Cognitive Support Unit within Baycrest Hospital and the Apotex Jewish Home for the Aged. You will provide personal care, support well-being, and monitor care needs. The work serves residents with cognitive impairment, dementia-related needs, and varying mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs
- Record residents’ nutrition and hydration intake
- Provide preventative skin care as required
- Support social, emotional, cognitive, and cultural well-being
- Maintain relationships with clients, families, and care providers





Requirements:

- Current Personal Support Worker certificate from a recognized institution
- Recent experience supporting physically or cognitively impaired elderly people
- Qualified judgment for monitoring and evaluating care needs
- Ability to manage challenging situations independently and collaboratively
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
