We empower people.We are looking for Patient Transfer Attendant professionals to support health-services and contribute to operational excellence.Responsible for safely and respectfully transporting patients between medical facilities and homes using stretchers or wheelchairs, assisting medical staff with higher-acuity transfers, and ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and safety.What's in it for you?Hourly wage is $23/h and is specific to candidates in this location.Ongoing training and developmentSafely transport patients between medical facilities and residences while ensuring their comfort and dignity.Assist patients with mobility and safely operate stretchers and wheelchairs.Maintain accurate patient transfer records and communicate professionally with healthcare staff and families.Follow safety, infection control, and defensive driving procedures.Keep vehicles clean, properly maintained, and equipped.Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, professionalism,



and excellent customer service.Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and company informationLicences & Certifications for Patient Transfer AttendantClean driving record and valid vulnerable sector check.Current First Aid/CPR and AED certification.At least ONE of the following: AEMCA certification, first-year paramedic program completion, PSW qualification, EMR or First Responder certification, or current enrolment in an OT, PT, RN, or RPN program.Legally authorized to work in Canada.Minimum one year of patient transfer or medical transportation experience preferredExperience in healthcare, emergency services, or non-emergency patient transport preferred.Physically capable of safely lifting and transferring patients weighing up to 250 lbs (100 kg) with a partner using a stretcher or wheelchair.Able to work independently with minimal supervision.Provide a clean driver's abstract and a vulnerable sector background check.Provide up-to-date immunization records, including MMR, DPT, polio, varicella, hepatitis B, TB skin test (Step 1), and any additional vaccinations required for healthcare settings, such as COVID-19This posting is for a position that is currently vacant within the organization.Please note: No AI tools are used in the screening, assessment, or selection of candidates for this position.GardaWorld: Make the world a safer placeGardaWorld, a global leader in security, offers exciting career opportunities in an evolving industry.
