OverviewThis Pharmacy Technician position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing, dispensing, and delivering prescription medications accurately and timely while maintaining adequate inventory, providing patient counseling, and supporting pharmacy operations including vaccinations, medication reviews, and other pharmaceutical services.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and on schedule.Maintain adequate inventory levels of medications and over‑the‑counter supplements.Provide patient counseling regarding medications and new prescriptions in a friendly, proactive manner.Create awareness and educate customers through public relations activities such as public health days and clinics.Administer vaccinations and other activities as legislated by the Pharmacist Scope of Practice Program.Provide pharmaceutical professional services including medication reviews, follow‑ups, and minor ailment prescribing.Resolve patient needs and physician requests promptly and positively.Review and control costs within the dispensary pharmacy.Provide ongoing training to new and existing pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, assistants, students,



IPGs).Required Qualifications and SkillsBachelor of Science in Pharmacy, licensed to provide patient care in Ontario (OCP).Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.Excellent leadership and performance‑management skills.Proven ability to build the business using community‑based marketing strategies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Robust problem‑solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans.Strong personal computing skills and working knowledge of the HealthWatch Pharmacy computer system.CertificationPlease provide proof of OCP licensure with application, including your OCP License number.Additional RequirementsCandidates aged 18 or older are required to complete a criminal background check.Salary RangeHourly rate: $44.00 – $60.60 (Canadian dollars).EEO and Diversity StatementWe are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
