Reporting to the Executive Director, the Recreation Manager plans, organizes, and executes activities supporting social interaction, physical well-being, spiritual connection, and emotional enjoyment. Southbridge Care Homes seeks a flexible, adaptable candidate for its long-term care home. The position supervises recreation, pastoral care, social work, music therapy, massage therapy, and volunteer services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and monitor the department budget
- Plan activities, entertainment, bus trips, and community events
- Supervise program staff, volunteers, and therapy teams




- Evaluate programs and complete resident engagement assessments
- Coordinate schedules, payroll approvals, meetings, and MDS assessments

Requirements:

- Postsecondary education in recreation, leisure, kinesiology, or related studies
- One year of experience in a health care setting
- Experience developing and evaluating interdisciplinary resident programming
- Knowledge of dementia, mental health, palliative care, and Parkinson's
- English and French oral and written communication skills
