Support inpatient mental health care at Cambridge Memorial Hospital with psychotropic medication knowledge, critical thinking, and excellent communication.

As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will care for individuals with reliable disruptions in mental health. This full-time contract continues through December 2027 and includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Your practice connects inpatient and outpatient mental health nursing through collaborative care, health promotion, and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver nursing care for patients experiencing serious mental health disruptions
- Understand psychotropic medication uses, actions, and administration
- Apply critical thinking to day-to-day practice problems




- Coordinate care within a multidisciplinary mental health framework
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors

Requirements:

- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
- RPN Diploma or equivalent credential
- Two years’ current experience in mental health nursing
- Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of OMHRS and Meditech modules considered an asset
