Support resident dignity and independence as a Health Care Aide with Optima Living, providing daily living assistance and person-centered care. Work under nursing leadership while responding to individual needs.

Reporting to the Clinical Lead, this Health Care Aide works under a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The position supports residents’ physical, emotional, social, spiritual, intellectual, and cultural needs. Care includes mobility, medication, nutrition, hygiene, documentation, and recreation support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Document observations, interventions, medications, and resident changes accurately
- Support care plans, nutrition, hydration, dining, and recreation
- Respond promptly to call bells, requests, incidents,



and emergency codes
- Maintain confidentiality, infection control, safety, and resident rights

Requirements:

- Complete a recognized Health Care Aide program
- Maintain current registration with CLHA
- Complete medication administration training and annual recertification
- Communicate respectfully and collaborate within interdisciplinary teams
- Pass required police, vulnerable sector, and provincial health checks
