Bow Valley Christian Church (NW Calgary) continues to grow, and we are looking to hire a full time Associate Pastor to join our pastoral team. Details of the position are listed below in addition to application submission instructions.Role Description:The Associate Pastor serves as the primary leader for our Invest pillar, helping people take their next steps in following Jesus by investing their time, gifts, and resources in His Kingdom. Develop and implement a clear pathway that identifies, equips, and develops people for leadership in our ministries.Administration: Maintain the budget, communications, and systems for these areasOther duties: Lead additional ministries and carry out other pastoral duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor or his designateCandidate Qualities:A demonstrated love for Jesus and a passion to share His message with allA lifestyle marked by regular spiritual disciplines, relational health, and trust in GodAlignment with the BVCC mission, strategy, and statement of faithDemonstrated relational skill with all ages and culturesA track record of mobilizing women and men to invest in the church and communitySkill in developing and implementing systems, and an appreciation for why they matter5+ years of pastoral experience, preferably in a full-time paid ministry roleA bachelor's degree in biblical studies, theology, or a related fieldCompensation:Salary commensurate with experience and education, full health benefits, and a retirement provision.Work Schedule:This role requires regular office presence during business hours and weekend work to support Sunday services and other church events.
