We currently have an opening in our team at our Waterloo facility for: Service role (Day shift)The following list of duties and responsibilities of the Service personnel (Full Time) is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the job described; rather they are intended only to describe the general nature of the job.Ensure proper assembly of equipment needed for planed production in a secure and efficient manner.Operate and adjust equipment for optimum results (productivity and yield)Maximize efficiencies where possible, minimize down time,



efficient change-over of products and reporting mechanical problems promptly.Coordinate with further processing to ensure constant flow of product.Perform line checks to ensure compliance with product specifications.Organize dry goods to ensure compliance with specifications of the customer product.Monitor machinery and maintain optimal levels of coatings for optimum production flowDumping and lifting of totes, bags and items weighing up to 25kgsAdhere to food safety and HACCP principlesKeep work area clean, free of slip and trip hazards at all timesOther duties as directed by Production Lead Hands and SupervisorsQualifications Required:Able to handle heavy lifting of up to 25kg bagsExperience with food safety and HACCP principlesMust be dependable and hold an above average attendance recordStrong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitudeGood communication skills and able to work well in a team environmentAbility to work well under pressure and with little supervisionResponsible to maintain a hand truck and or forklift licenseWorking Conditions:Work in cold or wet and slippery plant conditions for extended periods of timeMust be able to work flexible shiftsMust be able to work in a fast-paced, team environmentJD Sweid Foods is committed to fair and equitable recruiting practices.
