Engineer scalable Marqeta services with Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, AWS, and RESTful APIs while supporting customer and cardholder experiences remotely in Ontario.

This Senior Full Stack Software Engineer owns significant system components and features within Marqeta’s Customer and Cardholder Experiences team. You will independently design maintainable software, deliver milestones, and address technical ambiguity. Your work includes backend services, user interfaces, cloud microservices, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently design testable software components and logical APIs
- Build scalable backend services and modern user interfaces
- Lead medium component and feature designs




- Identify gaps and propose innovative technical plans
- Share trade-offs affecting product decisions

Requirements:

- Five-plus years of software engineering with qualifying education
- Backend experience in an object-oriented programming language
- Contemporary Java backend development with Spring Boot
- Kubernetes and AWS application development experience
- Scalable cloud microservices experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP
