Lead archaeological fieldwork across Ontario with Stantec, applying Field Supervisor experience, cultural resource management, and project leadership expertise. Full time travel is required.

As Project Archaeologist, Field Lead, you will oversee Stage 1 through 4 Archaeological Assessments across urban brownfields and remote wilderness. The position supports private and public sector clients while coordinating with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, Indigenous communities, clients, and landowners. You will guide field teams and contribute to technically sound cultural resource management recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Stage 1 through 4 Archaeological Assessments in the field
- Provide Field Supervisor oversight and project field leadership
- Coordinate resources, logistics,



and field progress with project leaders
- Mentor and coach up to 10+ Field Technicians
- Promote Stantec’s health and safety program

Requirements:

- Minimum five years of cultural resource management experience
- Minimum two years of archaeological Field Supervision experience
- Previous Ontario Field Supervisor experience
- Anthropology or Archaeology degree, or equivalent
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and required archaeology license
