Shape Vancity’s national syndication strategy with expertise in commercial lending and strategic relationships. This permanent role uses a hybrid work arrangement.

As Director, Loan Syndications, you will build origination across Canada through VCIB and British Columbia through Vancity Credit Union. You will develop syndication strategies, deepen partner and client relationships, and lead complex transaction structuring, underwriting, negotiation, and closing. Based at Vancity Head Office or Toronto Head Office, you will report to the Head, VCIB, Syndications & CRE. In office attendance is expected for events and business demands. Your work will inform strategic decisions through market, competition, and emerging product insights.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source and deepen strategic syndication partner relationships
- Build a strong origination pipeline across multiple markets




- Represent Vancity at industry forums and conferences
- Strengthen Syndications team visibility internally and externally
- Align strategies with senior leadership and cross-functional teams

Requirements:

- Experience developing or executing syndication strategies across markets
- Established Canadian commercial lending or syndications relationships
- Knowledge of underwriting and commercial credit approval processes
- Experience representing organizations at external market events
- Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders
