Support K-12 learners online through inclusive instruction, assessment, and intervention with School District 71. Collaborate across families, teachers, and support teams.

This temporary 1.0 FTE teacher supports students with learning disabilities, behavioural or mental health issues, and low incidence challenges. You will provide direct remedial instruction and help online teachers include students in learning programs. The work includes IEPs, assessments, instructional adaptations, and transition planning. Collaboration with families, educational assistants, district personnel, and community partners is central to supporting participation, achievement, and successful transitions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide online instructional support and intervention for learning challenges
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and Learning Plans




- Conduct and interpret educational assessments, including Level B assessments
- Consult on accommodations, adaptations, modifications, and inclusive instruction
- Provide case management and direct remedial instruction

Requirements:

- Valid BC Teaching Certificate
- Degree or diploma in inclusive or special education
- Training or experience supporting diverse learning needs
- Assessment experience, including Level B assessments where qualified
- Online, blended, or school-based learning support experience
