Elk Valley Resources (EVR) operates four steelmaking coal mines that employ over 5,000 people in the Elk Valley of British Columbia.About the roleReporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for all maintenance activities in the shop and pit. The position combines trades management, schedule execution, continuous improvement and staffing to ensure that company standards are maintained. The work schedule is a 4‑day on, 4‑day off, 4‑night on, 4‑day off cycle.Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policiesDirect the troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine root cause and initiate appropriate remedial actionOversee quality maintenance and repair of mine equipment to improve availability and reliability for productionManage daily and weekly work schedules to ensure work is completed on time and on budget through the use of Short Interval Controls and prevent maintenance complianceSupervise contractors and employees to improve work performance, efficiency,
