Support K-7 learners through targeted intervention, assessment-informed planning, and inclusive instruction with School District 71. This temporary role is 0.60 FTE.

The Elementary Learning Support Teacher works collaboratively within the School-Based Team. You will support students, families, classroom teachers, school teams, and district personnel. The role addresses diverse learning needs through literacy, numeracy, regulation, and learning supports.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct instruction and targeted intervention for learning challenges
- Deliver evidence-based literacy and numeracy interventions
- Conduct assessments and use data for instructional planning
- Support IEP, SSP, and PBSP development and monitoring
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and educational assistants

Requirements:

- Valid BC Teaching Certificate
- Elementary teaching experience and BC curriculum understanding
- Training or experience supporting diverse learning needs
- Assessment qualifications, including Level B where appropriate
- Literacy and numeracy intervention experience or training
