Operate heavy equipment at Hamilton International Airport while maintaining airside facilities, grounds, and equipment on-site during the seasonal contract.

Reporting to the Manager, Airside Operations, the Seasonal Equipment Operator / Maintenance Person supports airport operations from mid-November 2026 through mid-April 2027. The work includes snow removal, runway maintenance, equipment servicing, building maintenance, and emergency assistance. Responsibilities require communication with air traffic controllers and adherence to Transport Canada regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate snowplows, runway sweepers, loaders, graders, and tractors
- Maintain runways, taxiways, aprons, grounds, and equipment
- Monitor and report airside conditions, including snow accumulation




- Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and equipment servicing
- Assist with fire and crash rescues during emergencies

Requirements:

- Grade 10 graduation with two years related training and experience
- Experience operating diverse equipment in confined or congested areas
- Class D licence with Z endorsement
- ROC-A and RAIC or required clearances and permits
- Ability to follow instructions, calculate, and complete reports
