Southlake Health seeks a Registered Nurse for a temporary six-month contract supporting its virtual acute care unit. You will oversee census, acuity, clinical risk, resources, admissions, transitions, and interdisciplinary coordination. The position connects community staff, physicians, patients, and families while responding to changing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide clinical and operational oversight for the virtual unit
- Coordinate admissions, transitions, handovers, equipment, and diagnostics
- Recognize deterioration and coordinate emergency escalation when required
- Lead clinical huddles and interdisciplinary communication




- Support pathways, safety, quality improvement, and clinical outcomes

Requirements:

- Current Ontario Registered Nurse registration in valuable standing
- Minimum three years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Strong acute-care assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to coordinate complex care across disciplines and settings
- Ability to adjust resources according to acuity and program needs
