Reporting to the Operations Manager, this Carpenter maintains, repairs, alters, and installs district buildings, furnishings, and equipment. The position includes preventative maintenance, project layout, blueprint reading, and material estimating. Work supports schools and facilities throughout the district while following established safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and repair buildings, renovations, and modifications
- Read blueprints, plan layouts, and estimate material quantities
- Repair cabinets, shelving, furniture, and school furnishings
- Install and replace baseboards, drywall, stairs,



and floor coverings
- Maintain inventory and transport materials or equipment

Requirements:

- Interprovincial Red Seal Certified Carpenter
- Two years building repair and maintenance experience
- Class 5 driver's licence and acceptable driver's abstract
- WHMIS Certificate and required safety training
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and stay organized
