Reporting to the School Principal, this three-hour-per-day position supports students across personal care, behaviour, and educational programs. You will work under teacher direction, respect privacy, communicate effectively, and respond to diverse physical, social, and psychological needs. The required related program includes significant Special Education study and a supervised practicum.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop positive rapport with students through respectful support
- Promote independence using prompting, wait time, and reinforcement
- Encourage school conduct, self-respect, and respect for others




- Apply authorized physical interventions under student plans
- Participate in required intervention training and certification

Requirements:

- Ability to interact effectively with children and youth
- Problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Sensitivity and respect for diversity
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy protocols
- Ability to perform the position’s physical requirements
