The RPN is accountable and responsible for the provision of general hemodialysis nursing duties to patients who are identified as less complex, demonstrate more predictable outcomes, and are at lower risk for negative outcomes in hemodialysis and completes work assignments on a daily basis, according to the Practice Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), and approved standards of care of the Corporation.QualificationsCurrent Certificate of Registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), in good standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioMinimum two years of hemodialysis experience within the last five years requiredMinimum five years of medicine nursing experience requiredNephrology certificate required or enrolled and will successfully complete Nephrology certificate within 3 years of hireCompletion of vascular access modules from the Ontario Renal Network requiredCurrent BCLS certification requiredManagement of Aggressive Behavior or equivalent preferredCertificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA)
