Operate commercial laundry equipment and manage linen handling as a temporary part time Laundry staff member at Barrhead Healthcare Ctr. Work includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.

This Laundry position supports Linen & Environmental Services through transporting, washing, folding, inspecting, and distributing linen and apparel. Duties include sorting and weighing soiled items, operating washers and dryers, preparing surgical textile packs, and monitoring workflow. The role may provide training or orientation to Environmental or Laundry staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate commercial washing and drying equipment
- Transport, sort, weigh, and record soiled linen
- Fold, inspect, repair, press, and store clean linen
- Test pH and titration levels




- Report hazards, shortages, quota changes, and equipment problems

Requirements:

- Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
- Computer and smartphone operation knowledge
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and push or pull 50 pounds
- Valid unrestricted advanced Class 5 licence and clean driver abstract
