Support acute care patients through physical therapy interventions and mobility programs as a Therapy Assistant in Lacombe, Alberta. Work under rehabilitation professionals’ direction.

This Therapy Assistant position supports occupational and physiotherapy services within Acute Care. You may provide exercise programs, mobility aids, activities of daily living training, therapeutic transfers, and equipment support. The work includes direct and indirect client care across the health care continuum for all ages. You will work independently and within interprofessional teams under assignment, monitoring, and evaluation from rehabilitation professionals. Additional duties include scheduling, supplies, treatment areas, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform safe patient treatment interventions under skilled direction
- Assist with exercise, mobility,



and therapeutic transfer programs
- Provide mobility aids and activities of daily living training
- Maintain equipment, supplies, inventories, and treatment areas
- Support rehabilitation services and interprofessional care teams

Requirements:

- Diploma from an accredited rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program
- Equivalent training may be considered
- Physical Therapy Diploma preferred
- Interdisciplinary program with physical therapy component preferred
- Professionalism, ethics, and reflective thinking
