Description

We are seeking a caring, responsible, reliable, and enthusiastic full-time Nanny/Child Caregiver to provide care and supervision for our children in our private home in Peterborough, Ontario.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the children’s safety, health, emotional well-being, and overall development while providing a nurturing, positive, and supportive home environment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

- Supervise and care for school-aged children in the employer’s private residence.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy workplace in the home.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and encourage positive social development.
- Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities, including games, recreational activities, and outings.
- Support the children’s emotional well-being and encourage their personal development.
- Walk children to and from school, as required.
- Assist children with homework and other school-related activities when needed.




- Travel with the family on trips and provide appropriate child supervision.
- Ensure children’s safety and well-being at all times.
- Perform other reasonable childcare-related duties as required

Employment Requirements

Completion of high school education.

At least six months of relevant childcare experience is preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Caring, patient, trustworthy, and responsible attitude.

Ability to provide attentive supervision and maintain a safe environment for children.

Working Conditions

Permanent, Full Time, Morning, Day, Flexible
Wage: $20/Hour @ 30-44 hours per week
Language: English
Education : Completion of high school
Work experience: Six months work experience is preferred
Children Ages: School age
Work will be performed in the employer’s private residence.
Optional accommodation may be provided at no charge on a live-in basis. Living in the employer’s home is NOT a condition of employment.
