Plan resident-centered recreation programs with AgeCare using assessment, documentation, and compassionate communication skills. Support engagement across scheduled activities and daily routines.

The Recreation Aide assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates recreation and leisure programs under established care plans. You will collaborate with the Recreation Manager and Executive Director while following AgeCare policies and the Team-oriented Care Model. The work includes supporting resident well-being, participation, and social connection.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and coordinate recreation and leisure programs collaboratively
- Create inclusive environments encouraging resident participation and connection
- Assess engagement, preferences, and program effectiveness
- Document participation records, program notes, and departmental charting




- Facilitate programs, events, outings, and transportation support

Requirements:

- Diploma in recreation, leisure studies, gerontology, or related field
- Experience with seniors in recreation, healthcare, or community settings
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal English communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Valid driver’s license and Vulnerable Sector Check
