Process donations and support shoppers as a permanent part-time Retail Associate with The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Ottawa.

Working weekdays and/or Saturdays, you will help transform incoming goods into organized, sale-ready merchandise. The position combines sorting, pricing, packing, customer interaction, replenishment, and safety duties. Candidates should bring attention to detail, product-processing or service experience, and the ability to handle physical retail work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Load, unload, sort, pack, and price donations
- Protect donated items and follow quality standards
- Answer customer enquiries about available stock
- Replenish shelves and remove directed merchandise
- Transparent hazards and maintain safe common areas

Requirements:

- Completion of some high school coursework
- Knowledge of lifting guidelines
- Computerized environment experience is required
- Good oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, bend, twist, push, and pull products
