Support resident-centered recreation programs at Lake Country Lodge using activity planning and relationship-building skills. This role serves seniors in long-term care.

As a Recreation Aide, you will help create programs tailored to residents’ interests and abilities. Reporting to the Director of Resident Programs, you will support physical, cognitive, and emotional enjoyment. The work focuses on resident relationships, family connections, social engagement, and meaningful participation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contribute to developing and refining recreation programs
- Prepare daily physical, cognitive, and emotional activities
- Assess residents’ interests, needs, and progress
- Maintain accurate program and participation records
- Lead designated activities and special events

Requirements:

- Post-secondary recreation, leisure, or related credential
- Equivalent experience working with seniors may qualify
- Experience working with seniors and motivation concepts
- Understanding of leisure principles
- Eligibility to work in Canada and required checks
