The Renfrew County District School Board seeks a temporary School Support Counsellor from November 10, 2026, through June 28, 2027, or the incumbent’s return. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will follow a tiered pathway for student support and mental health service access.

Key Responsibilities:

- Promote mental health in classrooms and throughout the school
- Provide targeted support and intervention to students and groups
- Support students with behavioural exceptionalities
- Assist children and youth facing mental health challenges
- Support students experiencing attendance issues

Requirements:

- Two year community college diploma in social services or equivalent
- Experience supporting child and youth mental health and well-being
- Essential experience working within a school setting
- Current vulnerable sector screening required for employment
- Educational qualifications acceptable to the Board
