Operations & Fleet ManagerKalum Kabs Ltd. – Terrace, BCSalary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year (based on experience)Position Type: Full‑Time, PermanentAbout the RoleKalum Kabs Ltd. is seeking an experienced and results‑driven Operations & Fleet Manager to oversee daily transportation operations, fleet performance, driver management, customer service, and operational excellence across Northwest BC.Reporting directly to ownership, the successful candidate will provide leadership to the Operations Coordinator and take ownership of day‑to‑day operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services.This is a hands‑on leadership position requiring strong decision‑making skills, accountability, and the ability to manage people, vehicles, and operational priorities in a rapid‑paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDriver ManagementRecruit, onboard, train, and mentor driversDevelop and manage driver schedulesMonitor attendance, performance, and productivityConduct performance reviews, disciplinary meetings, and terminations when requiredEnsure adequate staffing levels across all shifts and service areasFleet OperationsOversee fleet availability, utilization, and operational readinessEnsure vehicle inspection and preventative maintenance programs are followedCoordinate maintenance scheduling and repairs with the Operations CoordinatorMonitor vehicle downtime and implement strategies to improve efficiencyManage relationships with service providers and vendorsOperations ManagementResolve customer complaints and service escalationsMonitor service quality and operational performance metricsInvestigate incidents and implement corrective actionsEnsure compliance with company policies and transportation regulationsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiencyLeadership & Team DevelopmentSupervise and support the Operations CoordinatorFoster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamworkConduct regular team meetings and performance reviewsReport operational performance, challenges, and opportunities to ownershipCompliance & SafetySupport compliance with transportation regulations and company policiesEnsure driver records, licences, and documentation remain currentPromote protected work practices and operational excellence throughout the organizationAfter‑Hours SupportKalum Kabs operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
