Description:

The organization is seeking a Registered Psychologist to support mental health and fitness for duty.
The psychologist will provide psychological services to operational branches and oversee external mental health providers.
Advising on suitability and fitness-for-duty decisions is a key responsibility.
Providing psychological support services to operational branches is essential.
The psychologist will select, direct, and monitor external mental health providers, ensuring compliance with established policies.
Reviewing provider reports and invoices is required to give a skilled opinion on treatment appropriateness prior to payment.
Conducting or arranging psychological assessments for police job candidates, fitness for duty, and other specialized roles is part of the role.
Arranging individual and group therapy and crisis intervention is necessary.
Providing critical incident stress debriefings and psychological postmortems will be part of the responsibilities.




Advising on suitability, return to work with or without restrictions, and transfer requests is expected.
Designing and delivering workshops on topics such as stress management and suicide prevention is also a responsibility.
Participation in Disability Case Management and policy development is required.

Required

Qualifications:

Required qualifications include a minimum of a Master’s degree in Psychology.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of post-university clinical experience.
A minimum of 30 months in the last 5 years in occupational health for police, military, or safety-sensitive first responders is necessary.
Candidates must hold a valid malpractice liability insurance and be registered in good standing.
It is essential to be able to obtain Enhanced Reliability Status with Top Secret clearance.
Work will primarily be in English.
