Working within KHSC’s mission, values, and patient and family centred care principles, you will support residents throughout withdrawal management. Duties include admission procedures, counselling, safety monitoring, referrals, documentation, meals, and housekeeping oversight. The position serves clients detoxifying from alcohol or drugs, awaiting treatment programs, or facing relapse risk.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out admission and discharge procedures under established policies
- Prepare meals according to pre-planned menus
- Ensure housekeeping activities are completed properly




- Keep documentation and resident records current throughout shifts
- Participate in training and promote cooperative teamwork

Requirements:

- Social services diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Practical social services experience
- Demonstrated individual and group counselling ability
- Ability to attend work regularly
- Ability to meet the position’s physical demands
