Toromont Cat seeks a Shop Technician, Heavy Equipment, to service a particular Caterpillar equipment and components line in its shop. The position involves planning, troubleshooting, repairs, service reporting, and customer communication. Candidates need post-secondary education, a valid 421A Heavy Equipment Technician or 310T license, and three to five years of technician experience. Heavy construction or mining equipment experience is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
- Repair and service Caterpillar and other heavy equipment




- Plan troubleshooting and repair work in the shop
- Prepare accurate service and repair reports promptly
- Maintain customer relations through frequent communication

Requirements:

- Minimum post-secondary education
- Valid 421A or 310T license meeting provincial standards
- Three to five years of technician experience
- Heavy construction or mining equipment experience is an asset
- Residence within drivable proximity of Sudbury
