The Salvation Army seeks a reliable Cleaner to support sanitary facilities through custodial care, safety checks, minor repairs, and groundskeeping duties.

As a Cleaner, you will maintain work areas in compliance with applicable standards and organizational policies. Responsibilities include cleaning facilities, managing waste and recycling, maintaining washrooms, supporting food bank safety, and keeping entrances and outdoor areas clear. You will also report hazards, injuries, repairs, and safety concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain facilities in healthy, safe, sanitary condition
- Clean tables, chairs, handles, offices, and furnishings
- Check doors, windows, fire exits, and building conditions
- Monitor cleaner bottles for WHMIS-compliant labeling




- Report hazards, repairs, injuries, and illness immediately

Requirements:

- Secondary school completion
- Custodial, life skills, or maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and tools
- Moderate to high attention when handling hazardous chemicals
- Professional, respectful, reliable, and self-motivated approach
