Our walks crew keeps sidewalks, steps and entrances clear and safe so that people can get where they're going. for year‐round employees:Group benefits after 3 monthsAnnual profit‐sharing opportunitiesPaid apprenticeship & training programsWhat You'll Be DoingRespond promptly when called in by our Snow Area SupervisorShovel sidewalks, walkways, steps, ramps and building entrancesOperate snow blowers to clear walkways quickly and cleanlyApply salt and ice melt by hand or with walk‐behind spreadersBreak up and clear ice build‐up at entrances and high‐traffic areasKeep doorways, fire exits and accessible ramps clear at all timesWork as a team with plow operators to cover each property efficientlyReturn to sites during long or heavy storms to keep them safeKeep shovels, blowers and spreaders clean, fuelled and in good working orderFlag site hazards or extra work needed to the Snow Operations PersonKeep accurate timecards and site logs for billingFollow all safety protocols, including at night and in icy conditionsWhat We're Looking ForAvailability for on‐call work, including nights, early mornings, weekends and holidaysReliability: when it snows, you show upAbility to do physical work outdoors in cold weather for long shifts, including lifting salt bagsExperience with snow blowers or snow removal is an asset.
