POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Project Manager, the Construction Site Superintendent leads a team of construction professionals. This position manages the construction activities at the project site. The Construction Site Superintendent implements and enforces D. Grant Construction Limited policies and programs, and ensures the project is safely constructed in accordance with design, quality expectations, budget and schedule.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise and coordinate all daily in office construction activitiesImplement the company’s Health and Safety Policy and Program to create a safe work environment throughout the jobsite and adhere to the safety and record keeping requirements.Hold employees and subcontractors accountable for safety performanceDevelop a construction plan to manage employee and subcontractor activitiesComplete paperwork as requiredResponsible to review subcontractor scope of work and scheduleEnsure project plans and schedule are followed and work is within compliance of design requirementsEnsure an adequate number of photographs showing progress and issues of concern are taken weekly and submitted to head officeResponsible for monitoring and effective management of all rental equipmentEnsures quality workmanshipResponsible for ensuring subcontractor commissioning of equipment and systemsEnsure all deficiencies are corrected in a timely matterAdvise senior management of potential problems at early stages and assists in their resolutionPerform additional duties assigned by senior management as required for successful project completionEDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:5 years minimum progressive institutional construction experienceIn-depth knowledge of the construction industry operations specifically construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures, and construction safety.Working knowledge of MS Office ProgramsKnowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for ConstructionJob Type: Full-timePay: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
