As Legal Counsel, you will provide prompt, effective legal and commercial support to Canadian Natural business areas. You will manage claims, coordinate counsel and experts, assess liability, develop legal strategies, and advise management. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills support independent work, deadline management, and quality service in a challenging team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage claims through negotiations, pleadings, and subsequent lawsuit steps
- Coordinate external counsel and independent subject matter experts
- Gather factual and documentary evidence for ongoing claims




- Assess commercial risk, liability issues, and mitigation strategies
- Prepare legal memoranda and advise management and client groups

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctorate degree
- Eligibility for admission to the Law Society of Alberta
- Minimum six years of Commercial Litigation experience
- Construction Law, Tax Law, Insolvency, or Oil and Gas experience valued
- Other combinations of experience and practice considered
