Shape public participation strategies for the Town of Cochrane using IAP2 standards, inclusive planning, and multi-channel engagement approaches. This position is based in Cochrane.

As Public Engagement Advisor, you will advise departments and partners on strategic engagement initiatives. You will develop campaigns, manage digital participation, analyze feedback, and support transparent communications. Your work will help connect residents with decisions affecting their community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and evaluate multi-channel engagement plans
- Advise departments on IAP2, policy, and framework alignment
- Design tactics that increase broad public participation
- Gather feedback and prepare What We Heard reports
- Manage Let’s Talk Cochrane and train platform users

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related discipline
- Three to five years of relevant experience
- Experience executing strategic public engagement campaigns
- Previous municipal experience considered an asset
- Valid Alberta Driver’s License
