Setup: Hybrid, 3 days/week in office, in Vaughan

Responsibilities

- Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, project accounting, and related financial analysis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, including P&L;, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
- Partner with operational teams to assess business performance and provide meaningful financial insights.
- Review accruals, reconciliations, and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities as required.

Requirements

- Strong full cycle accounting and financial reporting experience, at the Manager / Controller level.
- Experience in construction, engineering, or other project-based environments.
- Solid understanding of month-end close, WIP accounting, accruals, P&L;, and balance sheet reporting.
- Experience working with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) preferred.
- CPA designation preferred but not required.
- You must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this chance.
