Support Barrie Transit in Barrie as an Accounting and Payroll Supervisor, specializing in full-cycle payroll and financial reporting. Work primarily in an office workplace.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will provide accounting support across payables, payroll, forecasting, and program management. The position combines payroll compliance, reconciliations, reporting, and staff supervision. You will work with internal departments, payroll providers, management, and employees while maintaining confidential records.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage accurate bi-weekly full-cycle payroll processing
- Research payroll discrepancies and verify supporting documentation
- Reconcile earnings, deductions, benefits, pension, and RRSP contributions
- Prepare journal entries, forecasts,



and required reports
- Supervise staff and address attendance and human-resource issues

Requirements:

- Accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll education and relevant experience
- Three years of progressively responsible accounting experience
- Three years processing unionized and non-unionized payroll
- Knowledge of ADP, GAAP, IFRS, and payroll legislation
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
