Investigate leukemia immunology and cellular metabolism as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Basel in Basel, Switzerland. Study immune evasion and leukemia persistence.
Working in the Apostolova Lab, you will lead an interdisciplinary project spanning leukemia biology, tumor immunology, and metabolism. The research examines metabolic programs that help leukemia cells adapt to therapeutic and immune pressure. You will explore leukemia-immune interactions and targetable vulnerabilities using mechanistic approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and interpret mechanistic experiments, including in vivo animal studies
- Establish and adapt experimental approaches as required
- Analyze and present scientific data
- Develop collaborative projects
- Mentor PhD and MSc students
Requirements:
- PhD in cancer biology, immunology, molecular biology, hematology, or related discipline
- Solid conceptual and experimental background in tumor biology or immunology
- Hands-on experience with in vivo mouse tumor models
- Extensive experience with spectral flow cytometry and molecular biology
- Excellent English communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Bring experimental expertise in tumor immunology, mouse models, and flow cytometry to advance leukemia metabolism research.
