Assess property losses for EllisDon as a Building Consultant, applying construction expertise, cost analysis, and digital documentation technology. Travel to loss locations when required.

This position independently manages consulting assignments involving property losses up to approximately $1 million in construction value. You will inspect residential, multi-family, and small commercial buildings, document conditions, and advise insurers, adjusters, and property owners. The work includes scopes, estimates, quantity take-offs, contractor reviews, and defensible reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct independent inspections following fire, water, flood, and storm losses
- Document building conditions with photographs, measurements, drawings, notes, and digital tools
- Develop and validate remediation, repair, restoration, and reconstruction scopes




- Prepare estimates using Xactimate and recognized methodologies
- Communicate advice directly to insurers, contractors, and property owners

Requirements:

- Five to ten years of relevant industry experience
- Knowledge of building assemblies, repair techniques, and construction costs
- Experience developing or reviewing scopes and estimates
- Robust measurement, analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
