Our client, an established organization specializing in industrial equipment and engineered solutions, is seeking a motivated Junior Applications Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional looking to develop their technical and commercial skills while working with customers, engineering teams, and industrial equipment. Candidates with experience in heavy industrial, mining, or material handling environments will be highly regarded.

Daily responsibilities

- Assist with reviewing customer requirements, technical specifications, and project documentation to develop appropriate engineering solutions.
- Support the preparation of technical proposals, quotations, equipment selections, and application recommendations.
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Operations to ensure customer requirements are accurately understood and addressed.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical data, and equipment specifications to support application development.
- Assist with equipment sizing, technical calculations, and the selection of components or systems based on project requirements.




- Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and provide application support.
- Support project handovers by ensuring technical details, specifications, and customer expectations are clearly documented.
- Develop product knowledge and stay current with industry standards, equipment technologies, and application best practices.

Mandatory Requirements

- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Previous experience in an applications engineering, engineering support, technical sales, or related role is considered an asset.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn technical software and engineering tools.
- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and commercial teams.
- Experience in heavy industrial, mining, material handling, or related industrial equipment environments is considered a robust asset.

Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000
