Use frontline clinical expertise as a Clinical Scholar Registered Practical Nurse at Sault Area Hospital, providing mentorship and collaborative patient care.

This temporary full-time position supports nurse mentees through clinical coaching, role modelling, and teaching. Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Skilled Practice and Education, the Clinical Scholar strengthens clinical skills, critical thinking, and self-reflective learning. The work includes interdisciplinary collaboration, nursing processes, and patient and family education.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide clinical coaching, mentoring, and role modelling
- Support mentees according to assessed learning needs
- Apply nursing standards and processes to patient care




- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams across sectors
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities

Requirements:

- Practical Nursing Diploma completion
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration in good standing
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Three recent years of acute or critical care experience
- One year of formal clinical teaching or mentorship experience
