This experienced Body Component Engineer or Exterior Lighting Design Release Engineer supports an automotive client through vehicle development. The work spans component development, PLM release, CAD, regulatory compliance, and validation. You will coordinate technical delivery from concept through production launch.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead exterior lighting development, validation, and release activities
- Own component design release in PLM systems
- Coordinate Styling, Packaging, Electrical, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and suppliers
- Drive DFMEA, DVP&R;,



and engineering validation activities
- Resolve fit, function, durability, optics, thermal, and sealing issues

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Three-plus years in automotive exterior lighting systems
- Experience with design release engineering processes
- Familiarity with CATIA, NX, or similar CAD tools
- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-ups, and lighting regulations
