Apply security operations expertise in Halifax with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Tenable, and SolarWinds incident triage responsibilities. Work permanently within Nova Scotia government digital services.

As Technical Specialist, you will report to the Manager of Security Operations within Cyber Security and Digital Solutions. You will support Security Operations Centre maturity through incident response, monitoring, reporting, and agile improvements. The work requires troubleshooting, KQL knowledge, and careful analysis of network data, system events, and logs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Triage incidents and alerts across security operations software
- Connect with people to troubleshoot observed activity
- Research abstracted details across the operational setting




- Prepare thorough and insightful reports when requested
- Provide after-hours on-call or overnight shift support

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology plus three years’ experience
- Recognized Information Technology program plus related experience
- Working knowledge of systems operational environments
- Knowledge of KQL and incident documentation
- Network data, system event, and log analysis experience

Support Nova Scotia Security Operations Centre maturity through incident triage, troubleshooting, analysis, and detailed reporting in Halifax.
