Our financial services client is seeking a Business Data Analyst - Expert (8+ years) to drive credit card product and portfolio analytics using SQL, SAS, data modeling, and statistical analysis

Contribute to high-visibility credit card initiatives that shape decisions across the full product lifecycle. Partner with squads focused on credit portfolio management, product performance, customer insights, and strategic analytics to influence portfolio outcomes and business decisions. This is a 12-month hybrid contract starting the first week of December, with potential extension and possible conversion to FTE. Current onsite expectations include one in‑office day each Thursday plus one Friday per month, with potential to increase to two days weekly.

Contract, Hybrid - Currently one mandatory in‑office day per week (Thursday), plus one Friday per month. There is potential for the requirement to increase to two in‑office days per week, including a designated squad day.

Must have Requirements:

1. Business Analyst experience - 8 years

2. Product Knowledge - 3 years

2. Experience in a consultative role focusing on data analysis - 3 years

2. Previous experience in the Credit Card business (Banking or credit card industry)

3. Experience manipulating and synthesizing large volumes of complex information from multiple sources.

4. Strong knowledge of data modeling and statistical analysis techniques.

5. Experience working with multiple stakeholders.

6. Experience working on an Agile team.

1. Digital analytics experience (Adobe)/

2. Marketing background

3.Direct Cibc experience

- 4. SAS experience (build and run macros)

Responsibilities

- Support product and portfolio analytics initiatives across the credit card business
- Collaborate with squads focused on credit portfolio management, product performance, customer insights, and strategic analytics
- Analyze performance to help drive business decisions and portfolio outcomes
- Evaluate client behaviours across the full credit card lifecycle
- Contribute to optimization of card products and customer journeys
- Partner with business stakeholders and product partners to advance portfolio analytics initiatives
